Hey Matt,

I guess I'm migrating toward an Entrecard strategy similar to yours. I always drop back on those that drop on me. Then I spend some time dropping on high PR sites, then I hit any that have a Frequent Dropper or Latest Dropper widget that I hadn't already dropped on. Most days that takes me about an hour, usually split between two sessions, once in the morning then once just before midnight Eastern (or right before bed, whichever comes first!). Most days that Entrecard Strategy is putting me in around 200 drops.

Thanks for stopping by and the comment! Come back any time.

I rarely drop 300 cards in a day for my sites, choosing to drop on people who usually drop on mine as well as on higher profile sites.

It is easy to rack up credits in a short amount of time. I used to sit on them, but I generally will get rid of thousands of credits on a weekly basis. No sense staring at them piling up!

LOL, no problem Ravyn! Thanks for coming back and dropping a comment!

I actually target high PR sites when I'm doing my Entrecard Dropping. My goal is to find the high PR sites that will honor their most frequent droppers with a link. Throw in a few good comments and there ya have it. I very rarely drop 300 a day, most of the time its somewhere between 150 and 200.

Thanks again for coming back! Stay tuned!

Pardon the lack of comment last time; I spent a while trying to come up with an answer, and then stuff happened and I lost it. If it's any consolation, I find it near-impossible to rate a decent comment either most of the time, though being as niche a blogger as I am means I should expect a lot of the droppers-by not to feel comfortable responding.

I'm still not quite sure what the strategy is with Entrecard; I've just been dropping until my mind clouds (usually commenting as much as possible, though I keep finding the places whose visits I reciprocate are blasted hard to comment on). How much time? Probably too much. I estimate a good couple hours a day at least, and that's only if more than half of the sites I flip through haven't updated since my last run.

Hey Katherine,

First thanks for stopping by! I'm curious, was it Entrecard that got you to my site?

Yeah, I think you're right. In the preceding seven days, I've had 918 cards dropped on my site, and one comment to this post! That's just shocking to me!

In all honesty, I added EC back to my site to get my Alexa number up (or, down actually). Since the vast majority of EC droppers also have the Alexa bar, and the Alexa bar doesn't really care how long you stay... its kinda easy.

I've run into an unexpected side benefit however. With all the ECs I've stacked up, I've purchased a few things from the marketplace and last night I dropped ads all over the place. Thats kinda cool.

My other thought is to have an Entrecard Contest at for a prize, give away 10,000 Entrecard Credits. Maybe based on your observation, I can make one of the requirements commenting on a post!

Thanks again for stopping by and commenting! Hang in there, and keep dropping. I do find cool ideas while I'm dropping, maybe that's worth the effort on its own!

I'm also putting together a Make Money Online network over at ning! the address is http://TeamworkInternetMarketing.ning.com Check it out!

Hmmm I wonder why you haven't gotten comments on this post. I joined Entrecard a month or two ago and am always interested in hearing how other people get credits, go about dropping, etc. Since I'm still a newbie, I've got lots to learn. I'm very interested in knowing how others take advantage of the program. I know it can be a good tool - but so far, I can't help but wonder if most of the traffic I've received is just people looking for that almighty yellow "drop" bar. I'm not sure anyone is paying attention to the posts. When I saw that you don't have any comments to this post - and it's been a full week since you posted it - what are your observations? Do you feel like people actually spend time on your site, checking things out? Or do you feel like they are just looking to drop-and-bolt?

Good luck!
