What a wonderful post. You're blessed to have a great relationship with such loving kids. For me, Father's Day (and most other days) is hard even though my Dad passed 13 yrs ago.

But based on your comment (no guarantee of a next breath), let me say that the one thing that helped tremendously in the grieving process is the fact that I had the honor of having the "deathbed" conversation with my Dad several months before his sudden and unexpected death.

Having "the talk" allowed me to move forward in the process and live life without any regrets.

So for what it's worth, let me encourage you to have 'the talk' with your kids, parents and other loved ones NOW...before it's too late. It'll be one great memory you leave in their hearts!

If you (and all who read this) would like to read the story of my Dad's passing and "the talk", request your free gift copy (pdf) of my book. Just visit my web site.
No strings attached...really!

Simply my way of 'giving' back and helping others to live with no regrets.

take care,
Louise Lewis, author
No Experts Needed: The Meaning of Life According to You!
www.NoExpertsNeeded.com

Hey Griz,

Seems like its been forever since we've chatted! Ya know its funny, when I was writing this I asked my wife to help with the "Hallmark Holiday" part of it and my youngest was sitting in the room. She was shocked to find out there was such a thing as grandparents day and she asked the same questions... "well when is childrens day?" Being a few years older that yours, I shared with her just how special every day can be for her. She agreed.

Thanks for stopping by man, glad you enjoyed it. Hope you guys are having fun up there while it's "warm"!

Thom
